Consequences- ID Badges, Dress Code & Personal Devices

Personal Communication Devices

1st Offense – device confiscated, parent notified, & parent pick-up after school

2nd Offense – device confiscated, student assigned ISS (3 days), parent notified, parent pick-up after school, student cannot participate in extracurricular activities for duration of ISS

3rd Offense – device confiscated, student assigned OSS (3 days), parent notified, parent pick-up after school, Exemptions lost (with 2nd office referral), student cannot participate in extracurriculars or be on campus during 3-day suspension.

4th Offense – device confiscated, student assigned ALC for 10 days, parent notified, parent pick-up after school, no UIL participation for the semester

5th Offense – device confiscated, student assigned ALC for 10 days, parent notified, parent pick-up after school, no UIL participation for the semester, upon return to school, the phone must be turned off and stored in front office for the entirety of the day the remainder of the school year

Student ID’s

✓ Student IDs must be worn at all times, including in the classroom. Any student without a badge, during any time of the day, will receive a consequence.

✓ If student does not have their ID, hanging from their lanyard around their neck, they will be issued a new ID & a $5 charge for a new ID.

Steps when student does not have an ID:

1. Students not allowed in class w/out ID. Send immediately to front office to get a temporary.

2. Enter referral into Skyward.

3. AP office will contact parent via email & assign consequences.

1 st Offense: parent contact, warning

2 nd Offense: parent contact, 1 day Lunch Detention

3 rd Offense: parent contact, 1 day Friday Night School, $5 charge for new ID issued

4 th Offense: parent contact, 1 day ISS, $5 charge for new ID issued

Dress Code

1st Offense: parent contact, warning

2nd Offense: parent contact, 1 day Friday Night School

3rd Offense: parent contact, 1 day ISS

4 ^th Offense: parent contact, 2 days ISS

Tardies

1st Tardy: warning

2nd Tardy: 1 day Lunch Detention

3rd Tardy: 1 Friday Night School

4th Tardy: 1 Friday Night School

5th + Tardy: 1 day ISS
AP assigns consequences.
Tardy counts reset each grading period.
